Random Cooking Chemistry: Morning Berry Smoothie

Good morning!!!!

I love waking up and lollygagging for an hour or so before work.  So I wanted to share a quick, easy, and super healthy smoothie recipe.  This recipe is packed full of protein, potassium, omega-3 fatty acids and fiber.  Plus, it is sure to have the grumpiest non-morning person (me) feeling quite sprightly.

NOTE:  Today I didn’t realize that I was out of vanilla Greek yogurt so I just used the blueberry flavored Chobani and it tastes practically the same. So don’t fret if you have the same issue.

Yields 1 serving

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of frozen berries
  • 3/4 cup of Original Soy Milk
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 of a banana
  • Approx. 3 drops of honey
  • 1 Tbsp of ground flax seed

Directions

1. Blend until super smooth.
