Spicy Asian Chicken Wings

Hey guys!  I wanted to post a quick recipe for the upcoming Super Bowl. I basically had a version of these wings a couple of years ago at a football party and I’ve been thinking about them ever since. So here is my spicy tweaked version of these delectable wings right in time for the Super Bowl. Note: Serves 4

Ingredients

  • 2 lb. Chicken Wing
  • 7 garlic cloves
  • 1” fresh ginger
  • 2 sliced green onions (save some for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tbsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp cayenne
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 lime juice
  • Zest from 3 limes
  • 3/4 orange
  • 2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp cornstarch and water for thickening
  • 1/4 cup of toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)

Directions

1.  Clean the chicken wings, cut into parts if need be. Sit in fridge.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
2.  Now let’s make the sauce.  Add all of the ingredients into a bowl and whisk. Boom…..Done.
3.  Add mixture to the baking dish, coat the chicken and cook the chicken in the sauce for 35 minutes, flipping the wings half way through the cook time.

4. Toss wings in the sauce and serve. Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and green onions.  Personally, I love eating these with some asian slaw or sweet potato fries.
